Testimonials Summer School 2009

"You opened my eyes to the importance of CLIL"
"Thank you Els, Wibo and Jan for sharing your thorough work with us, so carefully planned and organized. You were fantastic, you kept the group interested for five full sunny and warm summer days. I loved the experiences of sharing and exchanging ideas with a wonderful group of 10 dedicated teachers.
I also enjoyed the lecture about CLIL in Europe by prof. Beardsmore very much. He is an inspiring speaker and provided us with lots of information.
Els and Wibo you opened my eyes to the importance of CLIL. After participating in this world teachers course, I feel inspired and energized to expand the way I do my work... a refreshing and very useful experience! I know that my students, my colleagues and I will benefit from my time spent here.
It was enjoyable, fun, hands on, encouraging and very much worth the time and effort. Thanks."

"A good balance of theory and practical activities"
"The World Teachers Summer School was an educational and refreshing way to start the new school year. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in teaching in an international environment. The teacher-trainers and guest speakers were professional, well-informed and inspiring. Our small group was made up of a variety of motivated subject and language (CLIL) teachers who were each given plenty of individual attention. The atmosphere could not possibly have been better!
The programme provided a good balance of theory and practical activities; the location was convenient to reach and the facilities and catering were excellent.
Most importantly, the fact that this course took place at the end of the long summer break meant that I could fully concentrate on the programme, without being distracted by the usual demands of high school teaching. I now feel keen to apply the CLIL methods we learnt during the week and to share these ideas with my colleagues!"
